GUARDIAN PROGRAM
What is it?
Each of our dogs is considered a member of our family, deeply loved, and respected. In order to grow our breeding program and provide each of our breeding dogs with a forever loving family home, we utilize guardian homes.
Our guardian home (GH) program is a great way for a family to have one of our high quality dogs/puppies without the upfront cost of purchasing a puppy. A guardian home is a person who agrees to raise, care for, and love one of one of our breeding dogs during and after their breeding career. Once their breeding career is finished, full ownership will be transferred to the guardian home.
What are the requirements?

Must live within 90 minutes (for females) and 30 minutes (for males) of Cookeville, TN and be flexible with dropping off and picking up the dog for health testing, vet visits, breeding, whelping, etc.

MUST have experience with prior dog ownership in your adult life.

Keep the dog safe and contained at all times. Preferred a fenced back yard.

Provide regular vet care as you would any pet: annual visits, vaccines, preventative medications, etc.

Keep the dog professionally groomed regularly and free of mats.

Provide basic training that is standard for dog ownership. GFF will provide online puppy school login.

Feed our recommended diet of either Pawtree or Open Farm.

No plans of relocating within the next 5 years.

Understand that we are waiving the purchase price of the dog in exchange for a service.

Must be willing to communicate well, cooperate and coordinate with us during their time in our program, as well as be dedicated to providing a safe, loving home for the lifetime of the dog.
